Volunteer with SafeHaven
SafeHaven provides life-saving resources to women and children escaping domestic violence, and we can’t do it without your help!
Our extensive volunteer program enables you to utilize your skills and interests to make a difference for local families.
Whether you volunteer in shelter, in our administrative offices, or at our resale store, know that you are working to create
a safer Tarrant County for all.
You can begin by completing our individual volunteer application or our group request form at the buttons below.

Volunteer Roles
-
Shelter volunteers assist staff in providing immediate needs to clients. Volunteers at shelter often sort donations, help clients find clothing and other essentials at our shelter store, and more!
-
Provide care and support to children staying in SafeHaven shelters by assisting staff with age-appropriate activities. Children’s advocates often help kids with homework and provide after-school activities, such as crafts, game nights, etc.
-
Have office skills you want to donate? Administrative volunteers assist with data entry, answering phones, soliciting donations for special events, filing, and supporting our fundraising team.
-
Volunteers are vital at Berry Good Buys. BGB volunteers assist staff by sorting, sizing, and pricing donations. They also help greet shoppers and donors at the store.
-
Share your kitchen with the families at SafeHaven! Prepare (or cater) a meal and serve it to the families staying in shelter. Shelter occupancy fluctuates daily.
-
Spread the cheer of the season by volunteering at our winter holiday gift drives! Volunteers will sort gift donations, greet donors, and help wrap gifts for families in shelter.
