OUR VISION: To be a center for excellence in creating and implementing services that bring about positive, measurable change in the epidemic of gender-based violence.

OUR MISSION: To end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention, and social change.

OUR CULTURE: SafeHaven creates community.

OUR PROMISE: SafeHaven promises thoughtfulness.

What’s it Like to work at SafeHaven?

SafeHaven is Tarrant county's only state-designated Family Violence Program. We run the only state-designated shelters, hotline, and high-risk team. If you want to work for the county's domestic violence experts, this is the place for you.

SafeHaven leadership developed the agency's brand promise after undergoing the Disney Institute leadership programming.

SafeHaven promises thoughtfulness. This promise addresses two important aspects of SafeHaven. First, we promise to be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle, so be kind. Second, we promise to be full of thought, literally. Every decision we make is strategic, science-based, and rooted in best practices in our industry. We are up-to-date on the latest research in our field, regularly applying new findings to our work.

We also developed a culture statement. SafeHaven creates community. When you join SafeHaven as a volunteer, client, staff, Board member, stakeholder, etc., you join a community dedicated to ending domestic violence.

No one role is more important than another. Each of us is a cog in the system, a cheerleader, an advocate. It only works, and we can only change the system, when we are all on the same train moving in the same direction. This is the community you’ll join as an employee, and if you’re as committed to this work as we are, you’ll fit in well.

At SafeHaven, we believe in fostering a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. We embrace the unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions that individuals bring to work in intimate partner violence, recognizing that these differences only strengthen our mission and impact.

We are committed to an environment where barriers are removed, voices are uplifted, and opportunities are accessible to all, ensuring that everyone can thrive. Through open dialogue and shared responsibility we have built a space where every individual can feel a true sense of belonging and purpose.
